Important Policies To Know For Your Ride

HandleBar Toledo is all about creating a unique way to explore downtown Toledo. Believe it or not, pedaling around town on your own mobile bar bike brings with it a few rules of the road. Please see below for some important rules and policies we have.

HandleBar Cancellation Policy and Weather Policy

COVID-19 RISK-FREE BOOKING: If there is any change we must make to your tour as a result of government restrictions due to COVID-19, we will offer you a FULL refund,  or you can reschedule. 

DEPOSIT and CANCELLATION POLICY FOR HANDLEBAR PARTY BIKE TOURS:  $39 Deposit is nonrefundable.  If you do not pay in full at least 7 days prior to your booking, your booking will be canceled. You will not receive the $39 deposit back. 

If booking a tour scheduled to occur within 14 days, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Cancellations more than 7 days out receive a rain check or refund minus $39 deposit.

Cancellations less than 7 days out – No refund or rain check. Please let us know if you need to cancel, as we will do our best to fill your tour. If we can fill your spot, we will refund you in full minus $39 deposit. 

HandleBar Party Bike Weather Policy:

We ride rain or shine.  Our bikes have a roof that covers riders, and we even provide complimentary ponchos for anyone who didn’t dress for the weather and needs one.  Trust us, embrace the rain, it only adds to the experience.

If weather is bad enough (severe weather imminent), we will notify you 2 hours before the tour start time to offer a rain check. You may decline as long as weather is safe enough to ride. Never assume your ride is cancelled unless you hear from us first. We do not judge the weather more than 2 hours in advance and look at the futures radar at weather.com as it is most accurate.  The 2 hour rule allows us to have an accurate weather prediction for your tour, and also gives you the time needed to make a rain check decision.

Please dress appropriately for predicted weather conditions.

HandleBar Tour Payment Options

All HandleBar tours must be paid with a credit card online.  All tours must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to departure.  If booking within 14 days of your tour, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Credit card options include: Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

HandleBar Damage & Late Fee

The HandleBar Toledo reserves the right to charge your credit card following the tour, if necessary. Since The HandleBar is powered by its passengers, they control the speed at which the tour progresses. For scheduling purposes, however, it is necessary that the tour end on time. There will be no Damage/Late Deposit charged if the HandleBar returns to the starting point on time and undamaged.

We reserve the right to charge the card on file for cost of damages or being late ($200 for up to 30 minutes late). Don’t worry too much about this- we’ve never had to charge anyone!

HandleBar Reminders

Liability Waiver: Each and every HandleBar Toledo bar bike rider must complete an e waiver (link here:  https://web.wherewolf.co.nz/2kanwh ) on the day of their tour. Your driver will ask to see all confirmation emails showing the waiver was completed and cross reference with your valid ID.  When you climb on board you’ll simply show the confirmation email on your phone to the driver, as well as your ID.

Photo ID: All riders must provide photo ID at the time of the tour.  21 plus to drink, 18 plus to ride along.  No exceptions.

Number of Riders: Each bike can hold up to 16 riders. We have 4 bikes, meaning we can accommodate groups of up to 64

SMS/Email Privacy Policy and Terms of Service: When signing your waiver, you will be offered the option to opt-in to post-trip SMS/email communications from the HandleBar.

All customer information is kept within The HandleBar Toledo, LLC and never shared with any 3rd party. You will have the option to opt-out at any time by responding “STOP”.

Credit Card Privacy: We require your full name, email, cellphone, credit card information and billing zip code at the time of booking.  This information is kept private by our booking software provider and not shared with anyone using an SSL encrypted website.
