Bachelorette Party in Toledo: 5 Party Planning Steps

If you’re reading this you probably fall into 1 of approximately 3 categories: either you’re engaged to be married, you’re the Maid of Honor, or you simply enjoy daydreaming and fantasizing about your fairytale wedding. Either way – we’ve got your bachelorette-party-backs covered. This article covers everything from where to stay to what to do and everything in between! So grab yourself a glass of wine and read up to make sure your Toledo bachelorette party is everything you’ve ever wanted and so much more!

Bachelorette Party Downtown Toledo Ohio

The HandleBar Toledo is non-stop bachelorette fun.

Step 1: Hit up Ahava Spa and Wellness Center

If you live in town – great, head here first. If you’re just in town for the bachelorette party festivities – also great, head here first. What better way to kick off a couple days with your lady gang than with a day at the spa? We personally would recommend a deep tissue massage and a little soak in their hydrotub to kick the weekend off. You’ll leave Ahava feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle anything that might come your way. You could also come here after the bachelorette party, but you might appreciate it a little more before the drinking begins and not after.

Step 2: Check into your room at The Renaissance Hotel

Don’t skimp on the hotel for the bachelorette party – you need a good home base for the weekend, and you’re going to want to be centrally located. Look no further than The Renaissance Hotel – it’s a beautiful hotel and will put you right in the heart of downtown Toledo (it backs right up to the Maumee River and is just a 5 minute walk from our starting location!) So grab a room here and make sure you’re a quick walk or uber from everywhere you’ll want to be (i.e. the bars and The HandleBar Toledo)! It’s not the cheapest hotel in town, but it’s also very reasonable, and an amazing deal when you consider the money you’ll spend ubering around if you stay outside of downtown! Not to mention this is a monumental weekend for the bride of the group – so put her up in a nice downtown hotel and reaffirm for her that she made the right call by selecting you as her maid of honor.

Step 3: Where to Eat Downtown Toledo

Maybe it’s just us, but this might be the most important part of the bachelorette party. You need sustenance to keep you rolling through the bachelorette weekend, but more than likely, you don’t eat food just for the sustenance – so follow this list to hit all of our favorite restaurants!

Kengo Sushi & Yakitori

This 23-seat sushi spot in downtown Toledo is an absolute must. Check their Today’s Food and Drink Selection” sections on their website – it’s guaranteed to get you salivating for the meal that you’ve got coming.

Manhattan’s Pub and Cheer

Fuel your Bachelorette party right by swinging into the friendliest neighborhood pub in town, Manhattan’s Pub and Cheer. Recently awarded the esteemed 4.5/5 star review by the Toledo Blade, it’s no wonder everyone inside is smiling. The Goat Cheese curds are a must for a starter, and this place has some of the best salads in town.  Don’t sleep on the handmade chicken fingers either.

Fleetwood’s Tap Room

Swing into Fleetwood’s Tap Room for one of their 48 beers on draft or choose from their wide selection of whiskeys. Swinging by for lunch? They’ve got an eclectic menu that covers sandwiches, pizzas, salads, apps, and desserts and the patio seating overlooks Hensville Park – you just might catch some live music while you’re at Fleetwood’s!

Real Seafood Company Toledo

Seafood pastas, crab and lobster, steak and chicken, and calamari just to name a few off their menu. The Real Seafood Company Toledo is a must-do for one of your dinner nights! The food is amazing, it’s right on the river, and wine is half price Sunday-Thursday from 3-5 pm!

Ye Olde Durty Bird

This traditional tavern is set in a building from 1867 and offers an extensive menu of creative burgers and sandwiches. This a great lunch spot when you need to stop for a beer and a burger before getting back to the streets of downtown Toledo. We recommend hitting Ye Olde Durty Bird for a lunch spot as the wait can get kind of long in the evening (a testament to its popularity).

Step 4: Where to Drink Downtown Toledo

If you’re using google maps as you work through this list you might be noticing a theme – everything we’re listing to do in Toledo is downtown!! It’s honestly the place to be, and once here, there isn’t really a reason to leave. With that said, here’s where to drink in downtown Toledo (see Manhattan’s, Fleetwood’s and Ye Olde Durty Bird from above as well):

The Heights

Did someone say rooftop bar overlooking the Maumee River and all of downtown? The Heights boats a stunning 360-degree view of the Toledo skyline, impressive design and unique hand-crafted cocktails and cuisine. If you’re looking for a classy spot for the evening, The Heights is your place.

Ye Olde Cock n Bull

Ye Olde Cock n Bull in The Historic Warehouse District of Toledo is another must-visit for your bachelorette party. They have a reputation as one of the area’s premier venues to enjoy and support the local music scene and they work hard to uphold this reputation. They have live music on Tuesday-Friday nights and it’s always good. Check their website for a full run down on their music.

M’Osteria

This place has excellent food during the day, but it really turns up late at night.  Head to the upstairs here after 10pm on weekends for some of the best DJs in town and dance the night away with your bachelorette squad.

The Bronze Boar

The Bronze Boar is a classic neighborhood bar – they offer beer, liquor, pool, a rear patio, and the classic pub jams and live music. It’s no frills, but at the same time, everything you need in a neighborhood bar. They also often have food trucks parked outside late night, at their location right next to Fifth Third Field.

The Blarney

Who doesn’t love a good Irish bar?! The Blarney Irish Pub may only be 12 years old, but it has the feel of an irish pub that’s been around for much longer. All of the furniture and many of the items on the walls were brought in from Ireland to give the feel of a pub near The Blarney Castle. Curious about the history of The Blarney Castle? Step 5: What To Do In Downtown Toledo

The Mud Hens

The Mud Hens are the AAA affiliate for the Detroit Tigers – meaning you’re likely to catch some future major league stars! The Mud Hens play at Fifth Third Field right in the heart of downtown Toledo, and if you stay at The Renaissance like we suggested, you’re just a short walk from the stadium.

The HandleBar Toledo

Of course, we’re going to throw this one in there, but we truly do believe we are a necessity when it comes to Bachelorette Parties in Northwest Ohio.  We’ll cruise the city together, making bar stops (with exclusive drink specials just for you), getting photographs of the squad with the HandleBar and Toledo skyline in the background, and jamming out to all of the favorite songs of the bachelorette (N’Sync perhaps!?).  Whether you’re a local or in town just for the bachelorette party, we’ll show you Toledo from a perspective you’ve never seen before! Feel free to head to Trip Advisor and read the bachelorette party reviews 🙂

Toledo Museum of Art

The Toledo Museum of Art features art from all over the world with every time period represented and housed at this outstanding museum – it’s actually considered one of the world’s best. Did we mention that the museum is free? Yep! Just pay for parking (or catch an uber).

As you can see there’s a ton to do in downtown Toledo – maybe you should extend that bachelorette party from 2 days to 3 days even…
